Color, suspended in glass. This Murano bowl is made in the sommerso technique, which means “submerged” in Italian: a layer of raspberry pink is set inside a deep sapphire blue, so the colors seem to glow from within. The soft trefoil shape makes it a catchall for rings, keys, or candy, or a sculptural objet d’art on its own. Circa mid-20th century.
