Cranberry, wrapped in a cloud of bubbles. This Murano bowl combines two glassmaking techniques: sommerso, which sets one layer of color inside another, and bullicante, which traps tiny, evenly spaced bubbles in the glass. The result is a rich cranberry center that seems to glow through a white, sparkling shell. The softly folded, kidney shape makes it a catchall for rings, keys, or candy, or an objet d’art on its own. Circa mid-20th century.
