WAREHOUSE & DELIVERY ASSOCIATE
Blue Print is looking for a full time Warehouse & Delivery Associate to join our warehouse team.
This role calls for a hard-working, dependable, and team-oriented individual to move furniture (sofa, chairs, tables, lamps, etc.), art, and other home accessories between Blue Print locations and to deliver such items to customers. Key requirements include the ability to work well with warehouse team members to move bulky, heavy furniture with skill and without personal injury and to provide excellent delivery service to clients.
Blue Print is an upscale home furnishing boutique and art gallery, with locations in Dallas and Austin. Blue Print values its employee and seeks to promote an environment of kindness and collaboration.
This position requires working from Blue Print’s 20,000 square foot showroom and warehouse in Dallas’ Design District. The Warehouse & Delivery Associate is responsible for unloading and unpacking furniture/home accessory shipments from the warehouse dock, inspecting the shipments for damage and carefully storing the inventory received in the warehouse.
The Warehouse & Delivery Associate will coordinate with shipping and receiving to ensure inventory received is tagged and will be required to move and stage inventory between the warehouse, showroom, art gallery and Dallas/Austin store. The Warehouse & Delivery Associate will be expected to keep the warehouse clean and organized so inventory is protected and easily located for transport.
Ownership of a valid driver license is required for operation of the company truck. Warehouse team members will use the company truck to move inventory between Blue Print locations (including day trips to Austin) and deliver inventory purchased to the residences/offices of customers.
This individual must have the ability to be on their feet for an 8-hour work shift and to lift and move (with the help of warehouse team members) inventory (some items weighing 75 pounds plus). Overtime help may be required on occasion - for example, when warehouse team members make a day trip to the Austin store.
