Scalloped, shimmery, and made to be collected. This antique card case is edged in a wavy border of mother of pearl, framed with iridescent abalone shell that flashes green, pink, and blue. Open it to find a finely engraved interior, with a shield at its center. Use it for business cards or a few bills, or gather it with other pearly cases on a tray or a stack of books. Circa 1880 to 1910.
