a flock of creative females under one roof can only mean a flock of creative gift ideas.  we are dishing out what we are giving dad this father’s day.  read, learn and get giftin’….

for the prankster, birnie is giving her daddy-o a set of jokester golf balls.  a quartette of trick balls from restoration hardware that are sure to give he and his buddies a laugh on the green.  one even disappears upon impact.  hee hee.

for the gadget guy, lauren zogg and her girls are giving dad the super cool UP bracelet by jawbone.  it’s a wristband and app that tracks your sleeping and eating habits.  rumor has it, dad can join virtual groups and compete with his friends and family to keep “UP” motivation.

for the beach bum, jordan glasgow is giving her papa a new pair of hari mari flip flops.  super fun colors to choose from to help keep your dad stylin’ even on the casual days.  bonus: hari mari originated here in dallas, tejas, y’all.

for the “never leave home without a belt” dad (because we know they are a’plenty), leslie jenkins is giving her hubby a smathers and branson needlepoint belt.  {of course, she always one-ups us in the cute department!}  they come in a zillion different colors, patterns and themes.  believe us, you’ll find your dad’s personality instantly when thumbing through the options.  lobsters, tools, boats, stripes, flags…and the list goes on.

for the meat lover, lisa wardlaw is getting her pops some of the finest beef tenderloin tenderloin from perini ranch.  the blue crew had the opportunity to taste test at owner caroline eastman’s wedding last fall —  let’s just say perini made an impression on us.  tastes like texas.  we haven’t forgotten and we are passing it on to our loved ones.

for the book worm, carrie jane pogoloff is getting her beau 7 Men by Eric Metaxas.  get-to-know seven historical figures and read captivating stories on some of the greatest men who ever lived.  we are talkin’ george washington, william wilberforce, jackie robinson and john paul II to name a few.  great! greater! and greatness!

for the pool boy, claire liedtke is gifting her dad with a new set of vineyard vine swim trunks.  we bet your dad has been hanging on for dear life to a pair of trunks he’s had for years.  it’s time, dad…you need a new pair!  we give them two thumbs up  — seriously fun designs and color choices!

we are officially melting.  can’t get up off the ground kind of melting.  bp owner, leslie jenkins of jenkins interiors, waived a big magic wand over this beautiful tyler, texas abode.  rumor has it, it was a 7 year project from start to finish — nearly 3 years of drawing before ground was ever broken.  this family of 5 made the move from much smaller quarters so the intent for their new home was to keep the feel cottage-like and cozy.  the matriarch wanted every room to be usable and livable space.  she needed it to be causal and for her 3 boys to put their feet up in any where they like (super cool mom!).  well, mrs. jenkins, you’ve outdone yourself.  the color palette is stunning — so fresh!  we even spy a bit of blue print lighting and accessories too!  hip hip hooray!!!  seven years and well worth it.

the clouds broke just in time for our backyard partayyy (whoops! we mean, sale).  we cranked the music on high and let the crowd run wild in our backyard.  our blue crew fans went home with some big-time loot — original artwork, funky new chairs, tables, light fixtures and lots of other gifty goodies.  even our teeny tiny shoppers found a little something to take home too {can’t you just imagine that white rams head over his big boy bed?}!  after the mad-dash, everyone lunched on tasty (and mighty colorful) tacos by our new friends at taco heads food truck.  bargain deals, tacos, ice cold ‘ritas, good friends and a beautiful day — needless to say we had a blast!

born and raised in germany, anne campbell, is our euro gal.  she has traveled the world and can chat her way through western europe in their native tongues.  she spent her early career flying the skies as a flight attendant (how fitting) and has now been on board with blue print since nearly its inception in 2010.  there are a lot of small moving parts and behind-the-scenes work that go in to operating this fast-paced interiors shop.  anne helps us keep this well-oiled machine in motion.

things you should know about anne:  she’s a mother first and foremost.  she loves her 3 children with every inch of her being.  she weeps at the sight of her babies returning from college for a long weekend.  she has piercing blue eyes with wildly long black lashes (a la’ natural).  she’s our hostess with the mostest.  she greets customers by name (seemingly knows their extended family by name as well) and will always recall distinct details about the entire gang upon their next visit.  which really means, she’s a listener.  she shows her love in the kitchen.  she cooks, bakes, blends and marinates home-cooked meals and sweets for the entire blue crew on a weekly basis.  some would say she is responsible for those extra few pounds they have gained (kidding. well, sort of).  she has very green thumbs (yes, thumbs is plural in her case) and can usually be spotted watering our flowers in the yard early in the morning.  anne is selfless — always putting others in front of herself.  when anne is around, not only does blue print feel like home, she makes it feel like home with warm chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven.  she is our warm and fuzzy.

look at all of our leading ladies!  it’s a treat to see them under one roof at the same time.  our owners were smiling real purdy for the cameras this morning.  james french photography was nothing short of a hoot on set and we adore him.  watch for our blue doors in volume II of the scout guide this summer!
