ooh. la. laaaah. well wouldn’t you know? blue print owner, lucy ward’s, newly renovated park cities home is nothing short of fabulous. with blue print at her fingertips, why wouldn’t it be fabulous! this project was nearly a year in the making — she and cynthia collins (friend, co-owner, co-worker and neighbor ta boot!) would meet after-hours (prosecco-in-hand) to drum up the details of the renovation. “i loved the challenge of marrying a traditional exterior to a new soft-contemporary interior,” says cynthia. “we were able to use my house as an experiment to try new things — we trust each other completely!” says lucy. their results: birch knot light fixtures, lacquered dining room walls, apple green grass-clothed bookshelves, lavender ceilings, a waterfall carerra marble kitchen island, and a floor-to-ceiling carrera marble master bedroom fireplace to name a few. lucy has collected for years — paperweights, rose medallion, chinese figurines, tortoise shell cases, glass vases of every shape and color, and original artwork from around the country. this new addition has given her plenty of room to show off her pretty things. and good news! her new swimming pool is filling up as. we.
speak. type. pool partaay at the wards!
